Opening of St Benedict's School in Preston

On 21st November St Benedict's - a new school run by the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest - will open in Preston.

This is another wonderful initiative by the Institute and they need our wholehearted support, firstly with our prayers and secondly, if you can, with financial help. To read all about it and to find out how to support them click here

More good news from the ICKSP in Preston

Press Release from Bishop Michael Campbell:

Only two weeks after a second church (English Martyrs) in Preston was given over to the care of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, the Diocese of Lancaster and the Institute are pleased to announce that the Sisters Adorers of the Royal Heart of Jesus Christ Sovereign Priest, the female branch of the Institute, have accepted Bishop Michael Campbell’s invitation to establish a House in Preston in the Diocese of Lancaster.

The arrival date for the contemplative (but not enclosed) Sisters has yet to be determined, but it is hoped that the Sisters will arrive as soon as possible to set up their first UK foundation at St Augustine’s Presbytery, Avenham, Preston. The spiritual life of the Sisters will be an invigorating support to the life of the Church in Preston, and indeed the whole Diocese of Lancaster.

Good news from ICKSP Preston

The Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest in Preston is going from strength to strength. Not only have they recently set up a school to cater for the families who are moving into the area, but they have also been invited to be responsible for an additional church in Preston. In a press release last week it was announced that the church of St Thomas of Canterbury & the English Martyrs, Garstang Road, Preston, would be administered by the Institute from the autumn; read the article here

They are also inviting young men over 18 who may be considering a vocation with the Institute to their House of Discernment which commences this November. Full details below.
